Cross Browser Issues

Recommended Posts

theTimHunter

Hello everyone,

I've done quite a bit of menu styling and it works perfect in Firefox. However, when I use IE or Chrome the main page looks good, but the styling on the internal page menus is not taking affect. I'm not sure if it's just an issue on my end. The CSS is all very basic...any ideas why this would be?

Thanks

Tim

So, it turns out when I take the custom CSS code and place it in the Pagelines Customize plug-in .css file everything works fine. I guess I should be putting CSS in there anyway...lesson learned.

Glad you were able to resolve it. Yes, that's an excellent location for custom CSS.

      Hi,

I noticed that PL5 uses flexbox for it's responsive grid. I think this is awesome.
But now there's a project coming in where I know I'll have to support older crappier browsers as well. Any thoughts on this? Should I only use PL5 for project where we're focused on modern browsers? Or should I use custom CSS to insert a float-based fallback grid..?

      Thanks!

I'm getting an odd result, which probably has an easy solution but I need help identifying the cause.

I have a single Modal Popup setup on a specific blog post and it works fine, but the resulting popup that appears (either automatically or when clicking the button) is different depending on the browser. The correct popup appears only in Chrome. But in Firefox or Safari as well as in iPhone, a completely different (undesired) popup appears. And yet I do not have a separate above-the-footer popup defined, only a template-wide version within the footer. Really weird. I know it is not possible to have two popups come out of one single setup, so there must be another popup defined somewhere, but I can't find it. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

Using the full box section with the full revslider plugin.

Having browser issues. Updated to latest version of everything, and the slider went off screen in Mozilla.

Reached out to plugin developer, and they say it must be the theme.

I would appreciate it if someone can take a look at the link.

I've attached a screen shot of the slider in mozilla view.

      Please advise.

      Thank you.

I do not use Google Chrome, therefore I have been postponing buying DMS until I am able to use Safari or Firefox.
Are there any plans for DMS to be able to be edited using Safari or Firefox?
      Thank you.

      Hi,

I cannot seem to see navbar css color changes in the desktop version of safari?
Works fine in Firefox and Chrome and safari on mobile ios.

      Anyone available to check?

Should show as a lite-grey to navy.
