Typography setting not "taking" for Primary font text

Recommended Posts

Not sure why the Typography setting in Framework doesn't have an effect on my main body and sidebar. It works fine for the Secondary font setting and Input and Text Areas but whatever I enter for my Primary font setting has no effect on my pages. I presently have it set to Canterell, a sans serif text, but the pages/sidebar all show a serifed font in a very tiny point setting. Hard to read and I can't change it.

Any ideas?

Hi,

In my experience with this issue, it's usually one of two things causing the problem:

  • Legacy CSS code you may have, if your site is older, in which a font was selected for the body, page or other elements
  • A plugin which is using its own CSS to apply a serif font of a particular size for the applicable element.

Go to your possible CSS locations, such as Custom Code > CSS Rules and see if you have any fonts selected by CSS.

Deactivate any non-PageLines plugins to see if this resolves the problem.

If not, we'll have to try some other really remote possibilities.
