Hi,

Hi,

Use the following code:

add_action('pagelines_branding_icons_end', 'pint_icon');
function pint_icon(){ ?>
<a target="_blank" href="#" class="pintlink" style="opacity: 0.5; ">
<img src="LINK TO ICON/IMAGE" alt="Pinterest">

</a>
<?php
}

Be sure to add the URL to your Pinterest icon/image.

I found myself with the same problem. My client wanted a pinterest logo in the branding section.

So, working with my comfort level, I found a work around. I used the linked in field to enter the pinterest address.

Then I changed the graphic that is used – without changing the name.

This was the easiest way I found. Now, I will have to remember this because when I upgrade pagelines it will revert back to the linked in logo.

So I made a note in their file to remind me.

All's well that ends well :)

One thing no one's noticing is that Pinterest picks up a post's featured image and lets' you add an excerpt.  If you add Pinterest to a header or branding area, it's not going to link to the post you're viewing, but to the site generally, and will grab the branding logo.  That's why I've recommended using Pinterest only inside posts, where it will pick up the post's featured image and initially the excerpt field (which you can then edit), making a link to the post, not the site.

      My client has just flagged up a problem with the Pinterest share button. When they click it on any of theor blog entries Pinterest comes back with the following error:
      Parameter 'image_url' (value http:) is not a valid URL format.
      I've checked this myself and it does indeed happen. The post has a featured image, these are using standard Pagelines DMS sections and the the site is totally up to date.
      The page is here: http://www.technicasolutions.co.uk/5-questions-to-ask-your-prospective-new-it-support-company/
      Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

      Just noticed that no one can use the pinterest option because it doesn't pull an image. I've made sure that I'm on the latest version with still no change. Any help would be appreciated!

      Using free version of Platform, really enjoying getting to grips with it, in Platform settings, Header & Nav, how do I add a Pinterest, or any other social media, Link (and associated Icon) such that they show next to RSS, Twitter or Facebook in my Header area?

      Thanks

      In the Global settings, under the the Header and Footer section, where it lists
      "Social Icons Pro", it enables you to list several social media accounts but not Pinterest. How can I add pinterest to the list of the social media links so it will show up in the header? Thank you!
