Resolved Vimeo embeds in features not displaying correctly

Hello all,

I've been using PageLines for the last 24 hours. By far the best software I've used to date and finding it very very versatile.

Problem I'm having is this. I embed a video using the html box in one of the features I have on the homepage. I am editing one of the sample features to save time.

The problem goes like this.

On my desktop which is my main system, using a 21inch screen and Windows 7 with Google Chrome as the browser, the embedded displays as such:

On a 15inch macbook using Safari as the browser, the embedded video displays perfectly.

The issue starts when I check my work on my laptop as I do with every change as it is only a 13inch screen using IE9 and Windows 7. This is what it looks like:

That is the size it then plays at.

On the iPhone is a different matter. In portrait, the video displays almost perfectly but when you turn it to landscape, the text overlays the video and you can't press play. This is less of an issue as I can simply disable mobile browsing but if there's a solution to that too, it would be awesome.

So what do we think folks? I've tried every setting in the features meta settings. I've resized the embed box and am out of ideas.

I do have a plugin running that helps size videos but the PageLines framework seems to override this as turning it on and off does nothing.

I don't have IE9 so I can't visit your site and inspect the problem myself, but if you add the Vimeo video embed code to a regular post or page, is the video height still behaving incorrectly?

Behaves normally in posts in IE9, just features for IE users by the looks of it as I've just checked that using IE9 on my desktop and it's the same.

In posts or pages, adding videos, whether Youtube or Vimeo, it's best to use the old embed code, ensuring that the code will work across platforms.

If you use shortened URLs, there's no assurance that select browsers will be able to use it. Most do, without trouble. Not all.

I'm not using shortened urls. This is the embed code.

Changing height and width do nothing so I'm thinking that there is something in the theme code that is dictating the sizing. I've inspected the code of both the Chrome and IE pages and they are different. Chrome as a code to set the size of the video embedded where IE does not and relies, I assume, on the above code to dictate size.

I've kind of sorted the issue using the old embed code but it's not perfect. If anyone can shed light on which program is causing the issue, PageLines, Vimeo, IE9 and can suggest a plug in or better solution, that would be great.

IE9 is the culprit since the Vimeo embed is showing correctly in other browsers. In that case, there is not much else we can do on our end. :\

I thought that would be the case. Good old IE being its usual fantastic self.
