Layout Dimension Editor Breaking

Hey there, I have a 2.3.1 running on AWS and my layout dimension editor is breaking. When I select a layout to edit, the editor disappears.

General

  • OS: Linux
  • Server: Apache
  • Hostname: juxtapose.co
  • IP:Port: 10.101.54.35:80
  • Document Root: /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs

  • GD: bundled (2.0.34 compatible)

Hi,

Can you try disabling all non-PageLines plugins and see if this resolves your issue please.

If the above suggestion, doesn't work can you install a free application called Jing and then record the error, then share the link. So we can view the issue first hand please.

I have this problem too !

Mine is a clean install with just the pagelines base Child theme installed

Any suggestions ?

PS I use the developer edition - just incase it makes a difference !

Also - as a workaround - can I enter the widths in manually - I need to show a client the site so far and need to adjust the widths !

Whether you have developer edition or professional edition, it doesn't make a difference. :)

Values in the layout dimension editor cannot be entered manually (only by dragging the sides of the layout in the screen).

But this is the problem - I cannot drag the sides of the layout screen - the little arrows that normally appear when you hover over the sides don't appear.

And then if you try to select a different layout, the whole section where you can drag the layout sides dissappear !

Please help ASAP - I have a client waiting.

2.3.2 fixed this for now, you should see an update in wp-admin.

      I have lost the Layout Dimension Editor feature. Completely unresponsive, not sure if it is a compatibility issue or update issue. Any ideas or please point me to a recent thread, if this has been covered elsewhere.

      Anything Boxes And Polylang Language Filtering Problem

      Over the last month I had extensive communications with the developer of the (premium) Anything Boxes section (in Pagelines store) (Adam Munns) and the developer of the WP Polylang Multilingual plugin (Frederic Demarle).
       
      This was because the following problem occurred:
      Anything Boxes showed all posts of two languages (Dutch and English) on the respective static frontpages for each language. It should of course have filtered posts for Dutch language on the Dutch frontpage and English on the English frontpage.
       
      The solution to this problem was simple in the end. When duplicating a page for use in another language the settings for Anything Boxes were not copied to the new page and I should have set these settings manually again on the new page. I wasn't aware of this, but it makes sense. Because of this the pages didn't know how to differentiate between posts from different languages.
       
      The dev of Polylang told me that Polylang is currently smart enough to synchronize metas like Featured images and page templates but it does not work out of the box with metas created by plugins and themes but (according to Frederic) it is rather easy to add them in the list using the filter 'pll_copy_post_metas'.
      He mentions that he is not sure that these 'PageLines Meta Settings' are stored in post meta but that would make sense according to him. He asks if the Pagelines dev team will be interested to support this feature in the future.
       
      I'm also wondering if you will consider adding Polylang translation support for manually editable strings like the 'Read more…' strings in Pagelines Settings.
       
      Well that's of course up to you but I thought to let you know to be able to take this into consideration. I also post this for other users in case they experience the same kind of trouble and are looking for an answer.
