Need Excerpts To Show For Posts Using Custom Menus In Nav Bar

I am using WordPress 3.0.1 with WHP 3.0.9. I set a menu button for a category in my nav bar. When I click on it only post titles are shown. Same thing when I select the category from the categories widget in my sidebar. How do I get the excerpt to show like when I do a search for the same category? I do not want to use the excerpt option in settings. I use <!--more--> in each post for the excerpt.

Got it! Had to replace

<?php if(pl_show_content($post->ID)):?>

with this

<?php if(pl_show_content($post->ID) || is_category()):?>

in the _post.php
