tbadorrek 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2012 Hi, I'm utilizing secondary navigation menus to apply custom menus on certain pages (rather than a menu which is automatically populated with all pages). Right now, it's a big hassle for my users to remember to scroll down to the PageLines meta settings and set the secondary navigation menu to the correct setting when they're adding new pages or posts. Does anyone have a solution to make this easier? I'm thinking some way to automatically assign the secondary navigation menu based on which parent page I choose would help... (for example, if I choose the "About" parent page, the "About" secondary nav is automatically applied when creating child pages). Any thoughts on accomplishing this? P.S. I'd also like to do the same thing with Banners, as I'm using those as a design feature to designate which section of the website the visitor is at. If there is a way to avoid having to change the meta setting for every single page, that would be helpful.
Rob 547 Report post Posted September 26, 2012 Unfortunately, neither the secondary nav nor banners are capable of being 'automated'. I'm afraid that option isn't likely to be created either as it's extremely complex. You can set one default secondary nav or banner via Page Options and override it with the individual page meta settings, but that's as close as we get. I'm sorry. tbadorrek 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2012 Thanks. Is that option only available in PlatformPro 2.0+? I haven't yet upgraded from 1.5.3 because it will likely break my site, and I can't find any such option.
