Title not responding to Yoast Wordpress SEO

Recommended Posts

musicianwages
Ever since, I believe, 2.2.4 came out I haven't been able to get the title of my pages to respond to the title tags I input to Yoast Wordpress SEO.

For example, I have the settings in Yoast for posts as:

%%title%% - %%sitename%%

Therefore, the title of this page (http://www.musicianwages.com/start-your-teaching-business-in-30-days/) should be:

Start Your Teaching Business in 30 Days - MusicianWages.com

But instead the title of that post reads:

MusicianWages.com | Start Your Teaching Business in 30 Days

What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this?

Hi,

I have just tried Wordpress SEO by Yoast on my testing site and I changed the Pages title to this:
%%title%% ------------ %%sitename%%
The changes worked without any problem, I then changed them again to something completely different and again, worked without any issue. Therefore, I recommend you disable all active plugins except for Wordpress SEO by Yoast and official PageLines plugins and see if this resolves your issue.

If not, then I would contact Yoast and see what he suggests.

I've tried everything. Deactivating all plugins, trying different SEO plugins - it is NOT a plugin issue. This is a Pagelines issue and it started at v2.2. I've been asking this question for months and months and getting blown off. I bought the expensive version of Pagelines for the SUPPORT.

Can someone please help?

If you have a spare admin login i'll take a look, but the framework uses the same filter as suggested by the wordpress theme review standards.

PM me the login if you want me to look.

Hello, I am facing a similar problem - did this one get resolved? I am trying to change my page titles, but Yoast SEO + Pagelines won't let me do it.  I have tried checking and unchecking "Force rewrite titles" in Yoast.

Disable all non-PageLines plugins with the exception of Wordpress SEO by Yoast and see if this resolves your issue.

I´m facing the same issue, i have tried ticking the box off as suggested and deactivated alle plugins, none of it works. It simply wont save it.
And i JUST updated SEO YOAST plugin.

Really frustrating as it is a hell of an important plugin.

I have a problem with the typography settings. I set the H1 class with "font-weight: 300;" (Very thin weight), and "font-size: 50px;" (To have considerable evidence of my problem). Unfortunately, as you can see on the screenshots, those setting don't have any incidence on the site, Infact in the home page editor there is a trial title called "Text test", bold, and 26 px approximatly sized.
Why the typography settings are not transposed on the site? Where I wrong?

      Hi,
We're using Yoast SEO plugin and it can not crawl the content that is in a Pagelines text container, only the Paglines framework content.
I can see that it is a problem with SEO plugins and external site builders to read the content. So is there a Pagelines SEO plugin that would solve that?
I know that it does not effect stats on google, but it is not possible to see the full picture of SEO status.

      Greetings,

Looking to be able to change the font of the Standard Title text in the Header/Highlight section.

      See screen shot

Also, if I leave Highlight Header text and Highlight Subheader text blank, I get default text "Here's to the crazy ones..." appearing so I have to put a single space in the header and subheader text boxes to make that go away.

      Thoughts?

Yoast is not analyzing the page content generated by Pagelines. I've installed NS Automation and it needs the name of the custom fields used. Can you please provide the custom field names needed for the NS Automation plugin?

I have tried multiple different SEO plugins and none are working (same problem for all).
Problem: When I add title and meta description on my pages, then select Update, the changes are not saved and are gone.

      What I've tried so far:
      De-activated all plugins
      Different SEO plugins

None of these made a difference.

      I currently have YOAST installed.

      System:
      Wordpress 3.9.2
      DMS 2.1.5
      Hosting company: HostGator.
