Want title above box text image

Recommended Posts

Danny

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no option to position the boxes image underneath the title. However, what you could do is simply remove the image from the Feature image option and then add the image using HTML in the boxes content editor.

Seems like an obvious feature,

Any chance of this in future versions?

Using the WP Boxer plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/boxer/ you can place the heading of a box above or below the image. There are many more built in options for boxes than our boxes provide.

The plugin also creates a new section, called Blocks, which are just the same as boxes, but allow you to have both our boxes and the blocks (boxes) of the plugin on the same page. It also allows you place shortcode anywhere; even in sidebars.

ie There is no section for it in the drag & drop.

Hey Danny,

I used HTML like you explained, but then I seem to loose the responsive settings..ie pics come out of boxes as does the text also.

This is getting frustrating.

Hi Danny,

I fixed one problem ..I had floated the READ MORE to the right which broke the container for the text .

BUT now the border around the image does not show on the right side.

PS The 3 boxes, only the first box is done with the image in the html.

Boxer uses shortcodes. Please refer to the documentation at the plugin's site. It will explain completely, how it's used.

Back to my problem, using PL Boxes and the image within the HTML, the right border on the image does not show up.

Any ideas?

PS its the first box, Business Development.

I took a look at the link you provided and the other thing regarding "Business Development" I see is a menu item link. I don't see any boxes at all?

Hi Jenny,

I have been playing with it this am..thats why.

I tried using WP Boxer but it does not work with your responsive settings when going to mobile sizing.

I will set it back to your BOXES so you can have a look right now

Hi there, the image is ever so slightly too big to fit into the fboxtext container. If i use css to shrink it to 99% the border appears. I'd advise you to shrink the image by a couple of pixels on the width.

Or you could try this css, not 100% sure it will fix, but worth a go.

img, .block_inner img {

    border: 1px solid #9E0509;

    margin-bottom: 0.5em;

    width: 99%;

}

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

      Hi, even though I just got a SSL certificate, I can't get the green padlock to appear due to the following error:
      :A file with an insecure url of "http://yemoonyah.com/wp-content/plugins/pl-section-boxes/check.svg" was loaded via the javascript file: https://yemoonyah.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.12.4 on line 3. The insecure URL may not be directly contained in the script file and may exist elsewhere."
      I figured if I delete and re-install the plugin it might fix the problem but will my boxes on the website still be there? Or do I have to redesign everything all over again if I delete the plugin and then re-install it?

      I have a problem with the typography settings. I set the H1 class with "font-weight: 300;" (Very thin weight), and "font-size: 50px;" (To have considerable evidence of my problem). Unfortunately, as you can see on the screenshots, those setting don't have any incidence on the site, Infact in the home page editor there is a trial title called "Text test", bold, and 26 px approximatly sized.
      Why the typography settings are not transposed on the site? Where I wrong?

      Here:http://attac.no/global-ulikhet/
      The images are forced into a boxed frame so that you can't see the whole picture. Doesn't look so good. Is this a bug? A feature? How can I fix it?

      The recent WP update seems to be quite cheeky...messing about with a number of things.

      Having trouble with boxes displaying differently in different browsers.  1st screen shot is Chrom...looks ok.
      2nd screenshot is Firefox...colors are different. Icons are different. Have weird 1000's next to the icons. Any idea what's going on?

      Thanks!!

      Hi guys,
      I have noticed that all thumbnails on www.michaelkummer.com are scaled down in CSS or HTML, rather than on the backend by Jetpack's Photon. See https://db.tt/vNJCn7Gh and https://db.tt/3ZpkHM7G.
      Any idea why Pins sets the image width and height to something much larger than what's shown on the screen? Is there any way to fix this so that Photon can do a better job in rescaling the images on the backend before they are delivered to the browser?
      Thanks
      Michael
