apattee 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2012 Okay, I wish the upgrade had gone smoother, but there are a few things I can't figure out. 1. The feature navigation dots are not working in Safari. This obviously was working before. The dots (or circles) appear to be working in Firefox and Chrome. 2. Since updating, a # symbol is being added to the url. It's not happening on every page though. See the homepage. 3. I was using popovers on "Our Programs" on the homepage, and that is no longer working. Looks like it's not working in any browser. Site is www.leportschools.com. Thanks for your help, I really would like to get these things back to normal.
Danny+ 1,327 Report post Posted September 21, 2012 Hi, Can you please disable all non-PageLines plugins please and see if this resolves your issue. Also, how did you perform the upgrade, as the style.css for PageLines is blank ? http://www.leportschools.com/wp-content/themes/pagelines/style.css Please search our forums, before posting! Also, how did you perform the upgrade, as the style.css for PageLines is blank ? http://www.leportsch...lines/style.css I am using a child theme. That is why I was a little surprised things got so messed up. I will try to disable plugins.
apattee 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2012 I just tried disabling all plugins and that didn't solve the problem. I took care of issue #3 by using links instead of popovers - which is unfortunate. But, issues 1 and 2 are still there. I don't know why the features aren't working in Safari, and I can't figure out why a "#" is being added to the url. That is happening in every browser. Rob 547 Report post Posted September 23, 2012 1. The feature navigation dots are not working in Safari. This obviously was working before. The dots (or circles) appear to be working in Firefox and Chrome. This is likely a browser issue and even though not showing in Safari, they must be present. Likely the solution will be to use http://pagelines.com/store/plugins/browser-css to create the proper code to display the dots or squares in Safari. 2. Since updating, a # symbol is being added to the url. It's not happening on every page though. See the homepage. Likely you have the "Add This" plugin active. Please see this: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/random-hashtag-strings-added-to-url-in-firefox It is possible that the update of WP to 3.4.2 may have prompted the plugin to become outdated. I do not recommend keeping that plugin. 3. I was using popovers on "Our Programs" on the homepage, and that is no longer working. Looks like it's not working in any browser. You did not state how the popovers were originated. Currently, they're achieved to some extent with Bootstrap shortcodes. Did you originally use a plugin that has since failed to work?
