Resolved Recent category posts double in category page

I use the recommanded special recent post for my homepage. Now i added de category news to the submenu and for some reasons the post in this category showing up double on my "nieuws" page.

If I understand you correctly, I am visiting the Nieuws page and I am seeing 4 of the same posts, however, these posts have different post numbers. It looks like you have created 4 posts with the same content:

Hai Jenny,

Thats true it is a test so i created four post items in this case with the same content and a different post number, but that does not have to mean that i see one post to times. And as far as i understand it look like it's created by section: postloop and section:bd post-meta.

How can i solve this problem?

The post loop on a blog page picks up all posts in all categories. On a category page, it picks up only those posts that are set to that category. Did you categorize your posts to one category only, and a different one for each post?

I categorize my posts to one category only. I find out that the text also i double when i go on the homepage to my agenda posts, the special post widget, between the newsletter widget and the linkedin/twitter widgets. For the test i made an agenda page (not a post) in the submenu above, that is not what i want cause than i have to change text on two places in the future.

If you're having issues using the Special Recent Posts plugin, I recommend you contact the developer of the plugins and/or read the Special Recent Posts plugin documentation.

I don't know if it is the recommended special posts plugin or pagelines. That what i am trying to find out. I used the special post because it's recommended by pagelines.

These are two completely different posts, with a different date.

So i think you have duplicated posts in your wordpress installation, because the SRP plugin cannot 'create' posts.

Please have a check.

When i uncheck the post info in the blogpost template the different date are not showing on the page, i put it back to show pagelines what is mentioned above

I checked my postst and this is what the dashboard says;

As you can see no double posts in the wordpress just the posts i made.

Please can somebody look at this problem, cause i contact Special Posts and they say that this widget doesn't create posts.

Hi,

If your posts are in one category, you will see them all in that category listing.

Create a static page for your category, use the shortcode for Special Recent Posts with a category. Recategorize your posts with new categories. Like category 1, category 2, category 3, etc. Make each post in one category only.

Then, with a page for each category and Special Recent Posts set for that one category only, you will see only one post per category.

Hi Rob,

My posts are in two categories. I have tried to make a static page already but i will try it again, but i don't think that's the solution.

I have already also deactivated the widget and nothing changes, the double text ( you can see "normal" font-size and the same text in smaller font-size in one posts) still is to be seen on the blog page and the category page.

I really have no idea what causes this problem.

I have been through the blog and posts settings of Pagelines, double text seems to be disappeared, now still the double title (bleu background and orange background) needs to be solved.

If you have four posts with the same title, even if the post numbers are different, the title will appear the same. I'm seeing different excerpts, therefore the posts themselves are different.

Try creating new posts with unique names and excerpts and you probably won't see duplications.
