I'm Martin

Danish but have lived in UK for four years. Do photography and design for a living. Hack and slash my way through code do get what I want. Mostly I do my own sites but do use programers for dangerous stuff :) I try and help what I can but I need to get out and shoot some images.

I love PL!

I'm Kristjan

Danish born, English raised, Living in Amsterdam. I'm a filmaker.

Been using wordpress for about 6 years. Definitely not a power user, but built a couple of sites along the way. I bought Pagelines to create the website for my first feature film which is currently in Post-Production, and I really like the way PL works and what I can do with it, even though I'm very much a copy/paste coder.

I'm Anthony (or Tony, whichever is fine). I'm a wordpress fan, been using it for about 8 years now. I first bought Paglines to create a site for myself, that was actually an old theme called White House Pro. Since then grown fond of Pagelines and ended up buying a Dev License for pagelines framework. Been happy with its presentation and all of the features it has, and will probably continue to use it in the future. I work in telecommunications but wordpress seems to work itself into my free time!

Use PageLines Drag & Drop Framework and WordPress to build professional websites faster, easier and better than ever before.

Hey there - I'm Brittany. First. Post. Ever. (At Pagelines.) Was using the free version for over a year and just recently purchased the Pro. I LOVE IT! I've been building websites since - oh, around 1997. I know enough code to screw myself up, cuss a lot, and then eventually figure it out, (so far, anyway) haha. Pagelines has me pretty inspired to roll up my sleeves and get learning things for reals. ;)

Hi everyone, my name is Joel Carlo and I am a multimedia developer based out of Barcelona working with US and EU clients. I've worked as a web developer for over 15 years working with wordpress for the last 8 years. I made the switch to Pagelines about two years ago and I love the framework.

I'm looking to network with other Pagelines developers and hopefully attract more users to make the switch to Pagelines so it can make my job a lot easier ;)

Hi everyone, I've just joined. I am a first-timer. I don't know anything about code, webdesign. I am keen to learn as much as I can through these forums. In short, I will be asking the stupid questions...

For example; How do I change the language settings in my free PageLines ? My boxes are all showing German (I think it is?) Under 'Text'

There ya go, that didn't hurt...

Hi Mathius - I'm sorry you're having issues with the forum. I've looked into your account and confirmed you do have the correct permissions and as such should be able to see and respond to posts. If you find that's still not the case, please send an email over to hello@pagelines.com with your username/login information for the forum and they will test and get back to you.

Have you searched the forums yet or checked out the DMS user docs?

Greetings,

My name is Aires DaGraca and I live in Alabama home of the Crimson Tide and I am new to Pagelines and very eager to get past the learning curve. I have been a using Elegant themes for the past 1.5 years but I have always wanted to make a site the way  I wanted it to look and not just use a Theme that looked nice and make changes with CSS. I have been told that a framework would be the way to go but I was hesitant to try any. Listening to a podcast one day and Pagelines was recommended did some research and watched some YouTube videos --- which were out of date and DMS Developer was for me.  So whether or not this will calm my create appetite is yet to be seen. I have looked at some of the websites that have been created with Pagelines and they are Awesome. But like I said a lot to learn still playing around with modules trying to see what look good where and such.

I was a little shocked when I first got Pagelines and it didn’t look like anything on the YouTube videos that  I watch before I went going  all in guns blazing …from the back end to the page templates it all looked completely different . I am sure I will have a ton of questions after I give up trying to figure it out myself.

I look forward to getting to know many of you – ROLL TIDE!!!

Hello. I'm Mary. I'm a newbie with Wordpress. I'm building my site for my fledgling book publishing company, Ashby-BP Publishing.

That said, if anyone feels like writing a book that translates Wordpress-speak, etc. into the lowest communication denominator (as in, treat me like a two-year old) please let me know.   :P

So, I'm going to take this opportunity to thank everyone who's been polite enough not to tell me I'm too stupid to use Wordpress, and instead, been incredibly helpful and kind.

Happy building everyone.

Cheers,

Mary

If I need help, or ask a question, please talk to me like a two year old. I'm new at this. Thanks!

If you're looking to publish a book on Wordpress (even for Pagelines only) for absolute beginners please contact me at mdunford@ashby-bp.com. I'm a book publisher.

Hi all you guys. I'm from Viet Nam.

In general, our forum is really good and very helpful.
I have just started using wordpress and then I came upon Pagelines. Though I do not have a hard core programming background, in a short while I was able to learn a lot. I am a newbie and rely a lot on plugins and custom code developed by gurus like you guys.

Thank you for your support and actively helping us.

Hope our forum will be better day by day :)

All we can do today is just imagine what it may be! The strategy is always to get distinctive colors using the colour tool. Keep in mind that your motive would be to earn money.

I've been using WordPress since 2010. I started with the Headway Theme framework. Last June I tried the free Pagelines framework and loved it. I bought it just before DMS came out. I have 7 DMS sites live at the moment and two more in the works. As a long-time print designer, it's been great to be able to implement my designs without having to learn too much coding.

I really appreciate the helpfulness of the staff and community and try to pop in and browse to answer questions when I can. If you're in the Seattle area PM me. I'd love to get a little group together here.

Hi, I'm Adam. I just bought Pagelines Pro a few days. Hoping to get some technical support, but apparently I'm not allowed to start topics :( I guess I need to go through some extra steps first?

Hi I'm wondering if the Pagelines Developer Community has moved to DMS or if there is a DMS section now? Also do you have a link to the "Pagelines Developer Kit" as the current link does not work, only if this kit is DMS ready:

      http://api.pagelines.com/download/devkit.zip

I will check out the tutorials at some point next week but would like to maybe get involved.

      Hey guys,

I am using Pagelines to create a community website that will be the first in Romania dedicated to people diagnosed with cancer and leukemia and creating a database with those persons and putting them in touch one with another to share facts on how to get through their struggle and also putting them in touch and with a community of doctors, volunteers and sponsors. I want them to have the benefits of having an internal message system and to be able to write, share photos etc etc and all the stuff Buddypress offers.

Pagelines Team came with great support, they helped me buying a pro license and my work in building a modern website is so easy and i love the product. In the past the team helped with some other requests but now a series of task will oblige me to create several threads and i think it is better to discuss all in one so....

is there anyone in the team assign now or in the past but still in the team to know how to work in upgrading the Buddypress compatibility withing PageLines framework?

I almost got in a fight with the Buddypress support team as i need some help with many items involving the Buddypress part withing Pagelines, many elements do not align right, cross browser compatibility needs to be updated within the code,  overall making the compatibility only 50 percent usable.  I do not want to create several threads and bother lots of moderators or team members.

I think the plugin withing Pagelines core needs some update, if you guys think of course that part of of support is part of your road-map of course, maybe we can work on this together through the items i am gonna report?
