Hello, I'm not seeing post navigation on my pages. There is not Previous Entries link appearing on my blog category pages. The fixes found in the thread are over 5 years old and don't apply to my version. Please advise. I'm using WhiteHousePro version 1.1.8.
HI, I am using White House Pro. I noticed on your PageLines Website that there are no longer any Themes. Does that mean that White House Pro is no longer a choice?
Problem: When I open WP dashboard and then Try to go to my website to view. I either get a white screen or sometimes I get the DMS that spins but does not every connect.
Also on the WP dashboard, under "themes".... the images don't load correctly... some are ok, but some are only half there, with lots of lines going across.
I have deactivated all the plugins. I changed the WP-config-php from false to "true". I increased the PHP memory to 96 (through my Go Daddy rep).
I am about ready to pull out all my hair and run screaming down the street (not a pretty sight!) Hope there is someone out there that can help. So frustrating! Thanks!
PS, my site is not active yet. GoDaddy had me put a redirect in Notepad, so only I can see it on my computer. Other people see the live (3 page simple) free google site. Sorry! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Hello, Some differences between WHv3 and v6 is I can't figure out how to activate the sidebar widgets area. Also, I don't see previous entries at the bottom of my posts page that allows users to continue looking through posts. Can you help me with these?
I just got DMS2, and very excited about it. Currently have White House Pro but moving to DMS and testing on local server (MAMP) at the moment. This is my first question.
Is it possible to set up multiple sidebars? For example, the primary, a secondary, and so on ... a very short one, a medium height, and a very tall one? If so could you please tell me how? Or please point me in the right direction?
Over the last month I had extensive communications with the developer of the (premium) Anything Boxes section (in Pagelines store) (Adam Munns) and the developer of the WP Polylang Multilingual plugin (Frederic Demarle).
This was because the following problem occurred:
Anything Boxes showed all posts of two languages (Dutch and English) on the respective static frontpages for each language. It should of course have filtered posts for Dutch language on the Dutch frontpage and English on the English frontpage.
The solution to this problem was simple in the end. When duplicating a page for use in another language the settings for Anything Boxes were not copied to the new page and I should have set these settings manually again on the new page. I wasn't aware of this, but it makes sense. Because of this the pages didn't know how to differentiate between posts from different languages.
The dev of Polylang told me that Polylang is currently smart enough to synchronize metas like Featured images and page templates but it does not work out of the box with metas created by plugins and themes but (according to Frederic) it is rather easy to add them in the list using the filter 'pll_copy_post_metas'.
He mentions that he is not sure that these 'PageLines Meta Settings' are stored in post meta but that would make sense according to him. He asks if the Pagelines dev team will be interested to support this feature in the future.
I'm also wondering if you will consider adding Polylang translation support for manually editable strings like the 'Read more…' strings in Pagelines Settings.
Well that's of course up to you but I thought to let you know to be able to take this into consideration. I also post this for other users in case they experience the same kind of trouble and are looking for an answer.
