File name not showing in media library

Recommended Posts

welcome

Hi,

I've tried to find the answer for this but haven't been successful. If I click on media library and a specific image some will have file names, some will not. I've tried reloading without success. I'm sure it's a simple fix but am at a loss.

Thanks

Hi welcome

You can try go to

Media > library

Edit the image and add in "title" the name.

File Type: image/jpeg

Upload date: September 13, 2012

It sounds like maybe you're uploading an invalid image file or you have bad characters in the file name. It's hard to tell exactly.

If you can provide us with a video capture of what you're doing, that would be helpful. You can use the free program Jing (http://www.techsmith.com/jing.html) to do this.

You take a screenshot with Jing, then upload the image to your server or a photo service like Flickr. Then, you copy and paste the URL here.

Within Jing you can also use their screencast.com option. Simply capture the image then click "Share via Screencast.com" and once it processes will give you the link to paste in here.

I think I've got it. What is missing is the file name for the picture. I'd like to know how to add it.

Thanks,

Are the images with no filename all been uploaded recently ?

If so try disabling all non-PageLines plugins and upload a new image. Then check to see if this image has a filename.
