nfardo 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2010 The blog pages are set to the default home page sidebar - can I set the blog sidebar separately, just for the blog area? Sandbox = http://pghfirm.powweb.com/category/pennsylvania-debt-collection-blog/ I want to just show Blog oriented posts, like a submenu of sorts...
Andrew 207 Report post Posted August 2, 2010 You can but since the blog page doesn't support custom page-by-page options we might need to add some custom code. Which sidebar would you like to show on this page?
nfardo 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2010 Hi arpowers, Thanks for your reply. Well, I would like to be as modular as possible (AMAP), somewhat like you see with Sub-Menus, etc. in some WP Themes. You choose the sidebar content for each page, not the sidebar content that posts to every page. What type of custom code would we need to add and and to where, exactly? Thanks in advance, NPF
cmunns 16 Report post Posted August 3, 2010 You don't have to get into the code if you just set up your default sidebar appropriately for the blog page, then use your secondary sidebar for all other pages.
nfardo 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2010 Thanks Adam, I have a load of content for the site. http://pghfirm.powweb.com/2010/08/six-figure-settlement-for-victim-of-botched-awake-breast-augmentation/ Is there a specific area where I can designate sidebar blog versus sidebar normal pages and / or Home page? cmunns 16 Report post Posted August 4, 2010 On each page editor menu, you can choose which sidebar to use (but as discussed before the blog page will only take the default sidebar) Try editing a page and you'll see the options farther down.
