adjusting body font size

Recommended Posts

Hi, what's the Custom CSS tag for designating the body font? I'm having trouble finding a font which will work for me that is also readable. Everything is very small in point size, it's doing my eyes in. I have the following which works very well for my Navigation menu font??“??“ ul.main-nav {font-size: 26px;} Now I need to know how to call up my body font so I can adjust it as well. Thanks!

Hi, To adjust the font-size you could try applying this:

body { font-size: 26px !important; }

I got the hang symptom when I tried saving my file which is what happens when I sneak something not kosher into the code. It looked like it should work but I guess the tag to designate the body font is something else?

Danny's code is essentially correct: The default code:

body {
	    background-color: #000000;
	    font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
	    font-size: 14px;
	    line-height: 1.7em;
	    min-height: 600px;
	    text-align: left;
	}

Change the 14px to the size you want, BUT, be aware this changes everything. If you want the font size changed for specific areas, you need to identify that area. I suggest using Firebug (http://www.getfirebug.com)
