CSS string to modify footer

I have a string which works well for fixing my footer to the bottom of the page??“??“ #footer { position:fixed; left:0px; bottom:0px; height:75px; width:100%; but the problem with it is it affects my Default pages weirdly. My Home page is set to Template 1, which is working fine (nearly), except that for some reason, the watermark in the footer section is floating up in the middle of the page. When I use that string above, it fixes the problem on my Home page but it messes up all the rest of my pages. Basically, it causes the footer, everywhere the footer columns are turned on, to not be fully visible. So I'd like to know how to specify that string above to only apply to my Home page footer instead of Globally. Thanks!

Hi, I??m not sure but you can try with

.page-id-542 #footer { position:fixed; left:0px; bottom:0px; height:75px; width:100%;}

only for your home page
