Site taking up full width of all browsers - Responsive Pixel Width & other settings not constraining

Recommended Posts

I've tried two different templates (PageLines basic and currently Ignite), and I cannot figure out how to constrain the width. I've followed the docs and the video demos, but still have the site taking up the entire width. Here are screenshots of my site options. http://imgur.com/6Diqc,w1Q4r http://imgur.com/6Diqc,w1Q4r#1 Thanks for your help! Brian

So you know, I deactivated all non-pagelines plugins and it did not help. I deactivated all plugins, and it did not solve the issue. Thanks! Brian

Brian, it appears something's wrong with your installation. If you go to your launchpad page (login here) http://www.pagelines.com/launchpad/member.php You can download the current version of PageLines Framework as a zip file. Unzip it to your desktop on your computer. Then, FTP the unzipped folder. to your site in wp-content/themes If it asks to overwrite files, it's safe to say yes.

Thanks for your help but this didn't resolve the issue. I did a brand new fresh install of WordPress, then installed PageLines Framework from zip. Then I went to Pagelines / Site Options...chose "Responsive with Pixel Width" and "Full-Width Sections," went to 960px...still same problem. I've been fighting PageLines since Monday, not sure why the installation is messed up. I installed it just like I do any other theme I download and install in WordPress over the years.

Hi Brian, Do you have any custom CSS in the custom content box that could be overriding the page?

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Brian to get access to Live-Chat go into your Dashboard>Pagelines>Accounts and reset your account credentials. :) This will reboot your set up

Thanks James! I tried the reset but it still asks me to upgrade to access live help. ON your other comment...that's a great idea (custom CSS), but no I do not have any custom code :(. It's just...broken. I've tried reinstalling a fresh database and fresh wordpress...tried uninstalling and reinstalling pagelines framework multiple times...it just won't constrain on any browser. Well I installed it at a different server... http://nokero.brianrants.com/ Now it functions properly...perhaps the temporary URL was causing some sort of issue? I will still need to migrate this all over to another server but hopefully I can get everything setup at this test server Brian
