Issue customizing search.php

Recommended Posts

infotwistedtoolscom

I'm using iblogpro. I'd like to remove excerpts from the search page. I can't seem to get rid of them. Perhaps it is because I've modified my search.php to remove the sidebar and have full width content? Here is my code:

<?php
		get_header(); ?>
	<style type="text/css" media="screen">#sidebar {display:none;}</style>
	<style type="text/css" media="screen"> #maincontent {width:960px !important;}</style>
	<div id="fullwidth">
	<div id="content" class="fix" role="main">
	<div id="maincontent" class="fix">
	<?php include (THEME_LIB.'/template_posts.php'); ?>
	</div>
	</div>

	</div>

	<?php get_footer(); ?>

On line 54 of _posts.php you should be able to add some code. Make it look like this and it should do the trick ` <?php if(pl_show_content($post->ID) || is_search()):?> `

whats interesting also is that code i've written into the pages is showing up here too, though on the normal full page doesn't show up. not sure if that is a clue...

Please provide a link... CSS can be written to hide the excerpts without getting messy in the hard PHP code. Thanks, Bryan
