Need Some Help Identifying the Correct Selectors

Recommended Posts

WebWerx

I am trying to change the styling for this text: "Nadro Marine is an experienced, ethical and skilled marine transportation service provider committed to helping its customers transport their cargo in a safe, cost effective, energy efficient and environmentally responsible way." I cannot seem to get the correct selector. This is what have so far. I am missing something.... :-(

/* Home Page Postioning Statement */
	#contentbox home-page-content-box{
		font-size: 20px;
	}

Hi webWex

.hentry, .fpost .post-excerpt {font-size: 2em;}

Only a newbie opinion :)

@batman: I don't think that will work as I need to refer to that particular content box only. You will see that I have identified that box's CSS class as "home-page-content-box"... HAve a look with FireBug. It's not taking properly. Probably because I am a wee bit off....

Hi Webwerx try this if you only want on that page

.page-id-25 #contentbox .hentry-pad {font-size:25pt;}

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

@jamieb23: That's the ticket. I need to really knuckle down and figure these things out better. Just wondering what happens if I have 2 content boxes on the same page...... So since I assigned a class to that particular box ("home-page-content-box")... Hmmmmmm

Hi Webwrex, if you've applied a class to the content box you can use the code as below. (I've used the example of the class you mentioned earlier) .page-id-25 #contentbox .home-page-content-box {font-size:25pt;}
