christycollins 3 Report post Posted July 22, 2012 Thanks Rangelone for the QuickSlider suggestion. My delima is that I would like to include a video with the post image somehow. For instance we have a cow to sell at auction. I need to include a still image and a video. I am trying to decide if Banners, Features, Boxes or a Quick Slider is best. Ideally I could click on a still image and a video would pop up and play.
Danny+ 1,327 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 Hi Christy, If you wish to have "Ideally I could click on a still image and a video would pop up and play." You probably be best using a plugin such as Lightbox or FancyBox and then use either the Banner section or the Boxes section and then apply the HTML to open the link withint the Lightbox/FancyBox popup. Have a play with both sections and see which suits your needs best. Please search our forums, before posting!
christycollins 3 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 Can you please give me a little more detail here... "then apply the HTML to open the link withint the Lightbox/FancyBox popup"
christycollins 3 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 In the boxes section, I put the video address in the "box link" option and it just opens up another browsing page to play the video. I just want a simp video player box to open up.
catrina 103 Report post Posted July 23, 2012
"then apply the HTML to open the link withint the Lightbox/FancyBox popup"
I believe he means that you need to add a certain piece of HTML code inside a link tag to enable the Lightbox/FancyBox popup for that link. For example:

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to. christycollins 3 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 I guess I am going to have to have more help here. I am a little lost. I don't even know what a link tag is. I should probably contact a pro.
Rob 547 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 If you're using a lightbox or popup plugin, I think Danny means that you give the image code an HTML wrapper...

A pro might be needed to get these videos into a carousel, but there are video plugins that popup into a lightbox. Check CodeCanyon for some premium ones.
