excerpt doesn't work

hi, I'm using Platform pro 1.53. It seems suddenly doesn't work excerpt even I checked the setting Blog And Posts >> Posts/Blog Page is on. I also tried to off all plug-in, but didn't resolved the problem. how can I fix this problem?

I'm sorry, but I can see an excerpt for each post in http://locusgear.com/news What's wrong with the excerpts? I'm looking in Firefox.

There appears all of texts in the post are showing. literary, it is not excerpted. It had been worked before I updated WP its self. Excerpt function still does't work after all plug-in turn off

Do you have the excerpts entered into the excerpt field in each post or did you have excerpts auto generated?

Go to Dashboard > PageLines > Site Options > Blog And Posts and scroll down. Make sure you have Posts/Blog page selected (checked) under[b] Post Excerpt or Summary Handling[/b] and under [b]Full Post Content [/b] do not have Posts/Blog Page checked.

I'm sure that It has been Posts/Blog page selected (checked) under Post Excerpt or Summary Handling and under Full Post Content do not have Posts/Blog Page checked. It is very strange that excerpt has started to be glitch in spite of I didn't change any setting.

Are you using PlatformBase 1.4.1 as your activated theme? Can you recall exactly what happened, what plugins were added, if you updated anything just before this occurred?

I'm using PlatformPro 1.5.3 as activated theme. The excerpt had been working before I noticed it hasn't been working anymore. I didn't add any new plugins or change any setting. I only did some update Wordpress and plugins. I can't remember when it happened after which update I did. But when I turned off all plugins, it appears the same result, and still excerpt doesn't work.

HI Go to Dashboard > Reading > For each article in a feed, show and select "Summary" I think it did not work but you can try (I'm only a newbie trying to help) :)

The excerpt is probably not working properly because of the WordPress update if plugins aren't the cause. Try installing PlatformBase, using the same settings, and checking the site again to see if the excerpts show up this time.

Thanks Catrina, I tried it, but it doesn't make difference. So, I decide to use "" tag to cut off the post for excerpt. This does work. It is weird that the excerpt worked properly without "" tag before.

Hi Danny, I have fixed this issue compulsory by using "" tag, however there is no answer about the cause. The excerpt had worked before without "" tag.
