Renaming theme from Pagelines to 'whatever'

Recommended Posts

mikeeg8

Hi, I'm developing lots of sites using Framework, and would like to know how to rename the theme to whatever I'd like - essentially, I'd rather call the theme after the clients in most cases, so from the outside it appears that the sites we not developed using pagelines. Any way I can do this? Also, is there a way of hiding the Pagelines panel from the Dashboard, to stop people meddling with the settings? Thank you Michael

Michael I was in your same shoes some time ago. It's going to cause A LOT of headaches to just rename that folder. For one, all the child themes depend on that name, as do a lot of things in the theme. Your clients not going to look, or care, if /pagelines/ is in sources codes URL. Trust me, I've been down that road. Hiding panels, that's definitely doable. There's a plugin called Admin Menu Pro, and you can use it to hide menus/tabs/and rename them. Nick
