Feature Slider as Header and Content Area for Home Page

Hello all! I'm about to tackle a site and am wondering if there is a way to do a slideshow as the header and content area of just my home page? Then I would want a traditional header on all the rest of my pages. This site is the example of what I'm trying to achieve http://comeandlive.com/home/. Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

Hey there! So my suggestion would be to create a page that would be your landing page and set it as your front page in WordPress Settings > Reading. Then you can assign a template to it (say Template | 1), leave it free of content and go to PageLines > Drag & Drop and edit Template | 1 to contain a Slider, and remove the PostLoop section from its Content Area. Next, you can adjust the Header area with the sections you would like to have site-wide and after publishing your home page you can use custom CSS to add something like #header { display:none; } to hide the header area.

Thanks you for your suggestion Stefan! I think I may be needing more guidance, as I don't think that's going to work...unless I'm misunderstanding the information you gave me. I need a way I can have a custom navigation & branding hovering over the slider? And again this effect is just for the "Home" page. Just like on: [url]http://comeandlive.com/home/[/url] ?
