Feature Slider won't function

Recommended Posts

bmi2011

I have followed the very simple instructions on how to create a feature slider with multiple images and cannot get the slider to function. I have designated 3 images under a feature set, but only one static image appears on my home page. I can re-order the features to control which one appears but I cannot get the thumbnails to display, nor will the dots/squares appear under the image to allow for manual control. I can show the play/pause button but it only appears as a pause button and does not play when clicked. I'm at a loss.

You have to manually upload thumbnails and set the options for either thumbnails or squares or dots. What are the settings on the page or post where the slider is to appear? There's a PageLines Meta Setting for Features there which may be controlling the look and also the number of slides. There's also a global setting in Dashboard > PageLines > Page Options. Be careful to ensure that either global or page level settings are not in conflict.

I understand that thumbnails need to be uploaded, which I did. My real problem is that none of the Feature Navigation Modes work at all and the slider effect doesn't happen automatically. I'm using the Feature Page template for the page that has the Feature slider. Under the Feature Slider Section for that page I have Number of Feature Slides set to 'blank' (as to not override the setting under the feature set) and under Select Feature Set To Show I have it pointed to the correct feature set. I'm using PlatformPro. I don't see Dashboard > PageLines > Page Options

I didn't purchase Framework, only PlatformPro.

Ah, okay, so that's why you wouldn't see those settings. Your slider here is taking awhile to load: http://www.businessmetricsinc.com/. Have you tried deactivating active plugins to see if there's a conflict?

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

I just deactivated a bunch of plugins and now it works. Thanks so much! Now to narrow down which one was the culprit...
