aaronpie 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2012 I was wondering if anybody in the community has had success using the following plugins with Pagelines. I am trying to use WP-Property, Firestorm's Real Estate Plugin, and Optima Express IDX. I am having troubles getting the widgets to work in the sidebars. Danny+ 1,327 Report post Posted July 17, 2012 Hi Aaron, I have visited your website and from the looks of it, the widgets do work but they don't seem to like the two sidebar layouts. Have you tried using a one sidebar layout for all pages and see if this works ? Please search our forums, before posting!
aaronpie 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2012 The real problem that I am having is that the Optima Express IDX plugin has the option to select a Theme Template, but it will always use the Default Theme even if I select Template 1. The Real Estate plugin does not give me any option, but also uses the Default Theme. So I can not show the widgets for this plugin because they will also show up on the both pages. I was going to hide certain sidebars for different theme templates. Also there is no way to customize theme templates because they both use the same one. Danny+ 1,327 Report post Posted July 18, 2012 Hi, Is the IDX plugin using custom Post types for creating it content ? Please search our forums, before posting!
aaronpie 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2012 No, the service pulls the information from the MLS database (MLS is a service that all realtors use to advertise their listings) and then formats the listing to display in Wordpress.
Rob 547 Report post Posted July 19, 2012 Most likely the plugins are using the older WP theme concept and looking for theme template files as opposed to looking for dynamically generated Framework templates. You may need to ask the developer of the plugins how they handle Frameworks. You can also point them to test their products by creating a free demo account at http://demo.pagelines.com. Essentially, they're formatting a feed which may be the issue. Former PageLines Moderator, Food Expert and Raconteur
