posts on static page

Is there simple code on how to put posts on a static page? You see I have a static page called home set as the home page and I would like to display the posts on it.

Yes. Go to: Settings > Reading then, under Front page displays choose A static page (select below) and select the "Home" page as your Posts page. Thanks, Bryan

That's great. Now I need that page to open as my index page.

I don't understand. By default the posts page should be the home page. And when you type in /index.php that should also lead to your home page (posts page)
