Is there a setting to allow pinch to zoom and double tap to zoom on the iPad? This doesn't seem to work anymore.

Hi cellis In Disable Mobile Optimized View you can read: By default PageLines accommodates mobile devices resolution and shows a mobile optimized view. Check this option to make it so users see your full site. If you want double tap to zoom go to: Site Options > Layout Editor > Disable Mobile Optimized View and click in Disable Mobile View I verify it on my iPad

Thanks for the reply, Batman. I agree that disabling Mobile Optimized View restores the double tap to zoom on iPad. However, this wasn't necessary before the latest version of Pagelines. A site using an earlier version of Pagelines has Mobile Optimized View AND double tap to zoom. see http://www.stincharfishing.co.uk/. I like the Pagelines Mobile Optimized View, but I think users like and expect pinch/double tap to zoom even more. Surely we can keep both? I'm not sure if this is a deliberate new design feature or a bug that needs reporting.

I'll have to check with the developers to see if this feature is possible.

Hi Catrina,

is there already news on this? I noticed this today also, I double-tapped with no success. A forum search brought me here. On most mobile phones the default setting is okay because it's mostly one column view, but on an iPad or Samsung tablet you often get to see the whole site with sidebars and all. Double-tapping and pinch-to-zoom would be really functional because type can be easily to small on tablets because you hold them further away.

I think their is an issue with fixed width and then mobile disabled. I had to change our site several times to find a setting that works both on the ipad and the full site. I am still not completely satisfied that I can't have a fixed width and both working for some reason, hopefully gets fixed though in the future. Since right now on our site if you change window size the site transforms to an alien. When I had both fixed aspect ratio and mobile , Sometimes ipad double clicking works then stops working weird, bugs out. I don't know if it has to do with a drop down nav bar making interference of some sort I have or not though.

Hi,

Please open a new topic, provide a link to your site and describe the issue in details.  This is an old topic and tacking your topic onto it doesn't really help us to diagnose your issue specifically.  Thanks for your understanding.
