How to remove "on" in post metabar?

Hello, I'm trying to remove the word "On" in the metabar for each post. I'm not sure where to make the change. I want it to only say "by" "Author" with no date shown. Can you point me in the right direction?! Thanks Much!!! K

The word "on" is inside the span class called "sword" and that could be hidden using CSS, but that means the word "by" will be hidden too because "by" also uses the span class "sword"
