gigglingbob 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2012 I love the tooltip and popover shortcodes. However I would love to figure out how to make them appear in different positions, such as above the text instead of to the right. When I try to use the .popover class and give it some positioning, things go off. Any suggestions?
Danny+ 1,327 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 Hi GigglingBob, Unfortunately, that is not possible as far as I know. However, it is a great suggestion, I will add it to my weekly report as a feature request on your behalf. Please search our forums, before posting!
gigglingbob 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 Why wouldn't that be possible?
beardedavenger 158 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 Ya we can possibly update these in the future. These properties exist, we just need to code them as attributes into the shortcodes. gigglingbob 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 Is it also possible to add a link option to the shortcode? I was looking at the source and it builds the popover with an A HREF tag. If I try to add a link, I end up with two A HREF tags on the same item and one of them stops working. Does that make sense?
gigglingbob 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 Just an update. The popover I was having problems with was on an image that I had put in the right sidebar. By mistake I noticed on some other elements on a different page that I added popovers to that the popover was appearing at the top of the image instead of to the right of it. This image was given a class of "alignnone". I added this class to the element I was putting the popover on and it appeared in somewhat the location that I need it to. Now it appears on top of the image instead of to the right of the image. I'm happy to have fixed this, but still slightly confused as to why I couldn't tell it to do this before.:)
Rob 547 Report post Posted July 16, 2012 As you know these things are all pretty new and I guess we're all just getting to know a bit about them. Apologies on behalf of the entire team that we didn't know it either. We're very glad you were able to find it and appreciate you telling us!
