crookedriver 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2012 I was just configuring a fresh install of WordPress 3.4.1 and PageLines for a new site when I ran the update themes process to update PageLines to 2.2.2. During the update PageLines reported a fatal error and now the entire WordPress site is down only giving me a "Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute." message. What's the best way to recover from this? Any ideas why this happened during the update and what I can do so it doesn't happen again? This is the first site I've tried to update. crookedriver 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2012 After some time I refreshed the page again and the script ran successfully. WordPress is out of maintenance mode and all appears to be working. The solution appears to be to wait and refresh the update page hoping the update will re-run. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Maybe the connection to the server was lost or a conflict happened... Always remember to make back-ups so you don't lose anything in the event of a faulty update.
