custom css not loaded after update

Recommended Posts

bluecloud

After the update to 2.2.2 my custom css is not loaded anymore. This happened also with the previous update to 2.2.1. What is happening, this is a kind of frustrating? The css style.css is in the folder plugins/pagelines-customize and all was working ok before the update. I have disabled/deleted the customize plugin and re-installed it but without any success.

Usually when this happens, it means that there's an error in the CSS. Often simply a deprecated element. Copy the CSS from the style.css to this site and it will validate it for you... finding any possible errors: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

I have checked it and it came out with some errors. I removed them, but the css is still not loaded. I pasted the complete css (including the errors according to the css validator) into the custom code from the site options and then it working ok. Even a very basic stylesheet like this is not loaded: style.css
p { color:#1e88bf; }
I can also not see it as a the stylesheet link in the source code

Could you paste your entire custom CSS code to http://paste.pagelines.com/ and provide us with the link?

Based on looking at some of the selectors, you may need to change them so that the CSS is applied to the layout. For example, the selector .masthead-title needs to be changed so that the CSS attributes can apply to this title (it might need to be changed to h1 or some other title selector for the masthead).

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Hi Catrina Ok, maybe my css is not exactly correct, but this is not my main problem (I pasted the css in the custom code and this is working ok). The problem is that style.css is not loaded at all. Before the update to version 2.2.2 it was loaded (through the PL Customize plugin) and working correct. After the update to 2.2.2 the css it is not loaded anymore. Even a very basic stylesheet like the in one in a post above. In the source code I can also not find the link to the stylesheet (the customize plugin is installed and activated)

The problem is probably not the css, but something with my customize plugin. It does appear in the PL store and is activated, but I can not see it in the plugin sections from the WP admin panel.

Try creating a style.less file, and putting your css inside of it, in your customize plugin.
