Move sidebars up / change background header and navigation bar

Recommended Posts

Hi, I spend hours learning how to get 2 sidebars next to the feature slider and adding a pinterest icon. However there are still 3 things that I haven't worked out yet: - to get the sidebars in line with the feature slider (I want them to move up) - to change the color of the background of the header - to prolong the lines of the navigation bar Help would be appreciated. Printscreen: http://imgur.com/qNOOg Many thanks! Jessica

Hi Jessica, Unfortunately, I am unable to access your website due to the coming soon message. Would it be possible to disable this script so we can view your site please. Also, have you not thought about upgrading to PageLines Framework? Adding sidebars aligned with a feature can be achieved with a click of a button and the sidebars will be level without the help of CSS.

Please search our forums, before posting!

Hi Danny, Thank you for your response. The website is indeed not visible yet. I would like to keep it that way untill the website is finished - that's why I added the printscreen. Please let me know if you can help me based on the printscreen. Regarding: "Adding sidebars aligned with a feature can be achieved with a click of a button and the sidebars will be level without the help of CSS." Can you explain how to do that? The Sidebar Wrap Widgets Position is already 'on top of sidebar' I've thought about upgrading, but to be honest pagelines 1.5.4 is fine by me and therefor I find 97 dollars a little bit too much for an upgrade (and basically new customers pay the same as current customers: from a marketing perspective I would advise to change this. I think if the upgrade was 39 of 49 dollars I and other customers would upgrade right away). Thank you for your help! Best regards, Jessica

It's difficult to advise without a live link, but based on your theme, you can change the header background color by add this CSS to Custom CSS Code > Custom CSS:
#header {background-color: #xxxxxx;}
To make CSS customizations easier, please see this documentation: http://www.pagelines.com/wiki/Custom_CSS

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.
