rushamy 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2012 Hello! I'd love to create my navigation similar to one on this pagelines site I found in the showcase: http://mattgondek.com/ (my logo being on top of it as well and having my content reach the top of the page - I have nothing to show on my own site yet - I'd like to see if I can start with my navigation on the upper left and then go from there. My other pagelines sites use the standard WP navigation and I'd love to do something new.) Is it a widget? It looks like old-school standard HTML image links, which I can do in standard HTML sites, but how do I integrate this with Wordpress - and can I update a menu like this as easy as I can the standard WP menu? I've searched all over for vertical menu solutions, but short of writing crazy CSS (and I'm not sure where to put it or how to tell my site to ignore the "standard" WP horizontal menu) and having just simple text by listing my pages in the page widget on my sidebar, I don't know what to do. I appreciate any help you can offer, folks! Thanks!
Danny+ 1,327 Report post Posted July 4, 2012 Hi, The website you have linked is using (as far as I can see) a text widget added to a sidebar and used basic HTML to create the vertical navigation (links). You can however, use these plug-ins to create a vertical menu http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/vertical-menu-widget/ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jquery-vertical-mega-menu/ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jquery-vertical-accordion-menu/ Please search our forums, before posting!
