Include Secondary Nav in Header?

Recommended Posts

jennajonesdesign

Hi All, I have seen a lot of posts about this, but no good solution. I want to include my secondary menu in the header so that it is there by default on all pages and posts. It is a huge pain to manually add it to every page and post. Has anyone found a good solution for this? Thanks! Jenna

Jenna, Go to Dashboard > PageLines > Drag & Drop and click Header. Scroll down. Drag Secondary Nav from the right group to the left under Active Sections. Secondary nav will be available there. On the page or post, under PageLines Meta Settings, you may select the Secondary Nav menu.

Thanks for your response. I got that figured out. I wanted the secondary nav to always be there without selecting each time under the meta settings. Instead of .defaulting to no secondary nav, I would like it to default to always show the secondary nav on every page and post

Hi Jenna, The Secondary Nav is not a standard navigation menu. It was designed to be used for child pages/categories and not as a second main navigation. However, if you upgrade to PageLines Framework, you can use the New NavBar, Fixed Navigation bar and Nav classic together if you like.
