How to change the colors of the black navigation bar?

Recommended Posts

ashrai

Hi there, how do I do that? I??ve already tried simpleCSS, but that doens??t seem to work. I just need a simple drop-down menu f??r my static pages, without the bar etc. ... so a transparent bg would be the optimum. I??m sure this is already implemented in pagelines, but I can??t find the according options. :-/ Thanks for your help! :-)

Hi, you can use
.navbar-content-pad, .navbar { background: #0169BF; }
for example, you can change color as you like I hope you serve.

I??ll try with firebug. But if you know all the css parameters for formatting the navigation, I??d be happy having not to search for them manually. I??d like to change the colors of the navbar, fonts, and the highlights / Hovers.

You can use de Nav Classic with the "Simple CSS Lite" plugin found in the PageLines Store to change all parameters. It's a free plugin that allows you control over the color of the menu. Simple CSS Lite only works on the standard navigation, it don??t work on NavBar. Before using erase CSS code of your nav bar. I hope you serve.

Yes, I knew that. But the standard navigation doesn??t support dropdown menus like I??m using at my website, doesn??t it? So I think I have to rely on custom CSS then

The dropdown uses these selectors:
ul.children.dropdown-menu ul.children.dropdown-menu li.menu_item
You just need to add a (for links) and a:hover (for link hover) at the end of these selectors then the attributes that determine the behavior of the items.

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.
