ECommerce App That Works with Pagelines?

Recommended Posts

jsruby22

I have spent hours and hours trying many different ecommerce apps and none work! Tried TheCartPress, Woothemes, Jigoshop for Pagelines, wp-ecommerce, Google Checkout.. Please help!!! Client is expecting a finished site in a couple of days! I can add the products and they show up on the store (except for google checkout) but the cart page is blank even after I add products to the cart.

Have you tried keeping other plugins deactivated while trying the ones you listed? (There may be a plugin conflict)

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Hi, I have visited your website but it is currently set to maintenance mode. Can you tell us which PageLines product you're using please.

Hi Danny, you wrote to me a personal message and none of these work, I installed both of those with the pagelines plugins and my cart still doesn't show anything, the page is blank. I have made the site public so you can see. JUN 28, 2012 | 01:35AM PDT Danny Holt replied: PageLines Framework is compatible with JigoShop, we have a plug-in available in the PageLines Store which allows JigoShop to be compatible with PageLines Framework. I have provided you with a link to our JigoShop demo page - http://demo.pagelines.com/framework/shop/ All you need to do is simply install JigoShop like you would any other Wordpress plug-in. Once installed, go to your Wordpress Admin Dashboard > PageLines > Store > Plug-in and from there install the Jigoshop for PageLines plugin. If you have any issues with JigoShop, please review there documentation - http://forum.jigoshop.com/kb Also, recently the WooCommerce developer team released a WooCommerce for PageLines plug-in, which allows WooCommerce to be compatible with PageLines. I have provided you with a link to the plug-in. Please bear in mind that this has not been developed by PageLines and therefore, we are unable to provide support. https://github.com/mikejolley/pagelines-woocommerce If you have any other questions or issues, don't hesitate to ask. Kind Regards, Danny

Hi, I am not sure has to which E-Commerce plug-ins you're referring to, are you saying that you have installed both JigoShop and WooCoomerce ? If so that is you need to use one or the other, as they are in basic terms the same plug-in. I am not going to go into detail but WooCommerce is forked from JigoShop. Using multiple E-Commerce plug-ins at the same time, in my honest opinion can not be good, you need to use one. Therefore, you need to deactivate both plug-ins, then remove them. Once you have removed them both, install either JigoShop or WooCommerce. Once you have completed the above, you need to choose which E-Commerce option you're going to use. If you decide on JIgoShop, then you need to go to the Wordpress Admin Dashboard > PageLines > Store > Plug-in and install/activate the JigoShop for PageLines plug-in. Once installed, any issues you may have need to be addressed with JigoShop support. If you decide on WooCommerce, then you need to go here and download, install this. Please remember that at this moment in time, we do not have a PageLines developed WooCommerce plug-in like JigoShop. This was created by the WooCommerce team and therefore we are unable to provide support.

No, I tried them separately. I installed one and it didn't work then I remove it and installed the other. They both do not work. I sent you my password in my private message to you, please use that to see for yourself and let me know what I can do. This is not a Jigoshop or Woocommerce issue, this is a Pagelines issue since no ecommerce plugins are working on the site! Pagelines needs to figure out what the problem is.

I'll add this to a list of issues in a weekly report (I have not added an e-commerce issue to the list yet).

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Not sure how this will help, but I've been working on getting my new site set up and running with Jigoshop and the PL plugin for it. I can add items to the cart, and can clearly see them there. So far, I am not having any difficulty with the Jigoshop or the Pagelines Framework, other than being new to both. The site can be seen at: http://www.fineviolinbows.net/ I am using WP 3.4.1, PL Framework 2.2.1, Jigoshop 1.2.3, and the PL Jigoshop plugin 1.4.5

Both Jigoshop and Woocommerce work perfectly with PageLines. However, you cannot have them both installed at the same time or you will have issues. Even installing one, then disabling, and installing the other will not work. You have to completely remove everything from the first installation (plugin, PAGES, products, etc), then you can install the other plugin.

Hi, I have created a quick screencast on how to install JigoShop on a fresh installation of Wordpress 3.4 and PageLines 2.2.1. http://screencast.com/t/gwuah05aW

I did what you showed on the video and the cart page is still empty but the good thing is that the cart is showing up in the sidebar and in the checkout page. http://screencast.com/t/LcK8GsKvd9hs

Ok, I deleted the existing cart page and created another one and put the shortcode on the page. Now the cart shows up but when I hit the checkout page it brings me to a similar page but no ability to enter payment info. http://screencast.com/t/Auajbe5H

Just discovered something strange, when I go to woocommerce settings, pages, and set the shop pages to the corresponding pages the products disappear, they go blank. This is all very frustrating!! There are so many bugs in this system. I can't believe I paid $100 for this.
