When does Pagelines move off of get_theme_data?

Recommended Posts

Since upgrading to WP3.4 I get annoying messages about the use of the now deprecated get_theme_data function. Clearly it doesn't effect my production site as I have logging off there but in development I try very hard to keep the screen warnings to zero so I get a full fidelity UX. I assume that Pagelines is actively working to move to wp_get_theme (the replacement function). Can you please confirm that this is happening and any idea on how much of a priority or how quickly it will be fixed would be helpful.

Hmmm. I'm not sure. How does one do that?

Check Dashboard > Appearance > Themes to let us know which version of PageLines Framework you're using. A recent upgrade to 2.2.1 was released last week. You may still be on an earlier version.

Oh I see. Sorry I was having a "blond moment" ... I am on the latest version ... version 2.2.1. I use a child theme though and I thought maybe there something I might need to do there. Is that possible?

The developers will have to look into this. You may also refer to this thread if there is any further insight: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/discussion/20093/2.2-known-issuesfixes#Item_55

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Thanks Catrina. Interesting thread but I don't think its directly related to my problem other than suggesting that there was a lot of pain associated with upgrading to 2.1/2.2. ;^) Will a developer be getting back to me on my issue here? I would love to know that this is being addressed by someone.

Your issue can most likely be fixed with Simon's response here: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/discussion/comment/106104#Comment_106104
