If you go to this site: http://www.skypespanishclasses.com/ To the feature set at the bottom of the page that are full width videos, you'll see that they are currently setup with text across the bottom. Before the 2.2 upgrades, I had these set up as full width videos with no text overlay. When I upgraded, the feature slides turned into empty white boxes. These were the settings I had at the time:

In individual features, under "Feature Settings," I have: Full Width Background Image - No Text - Links Entire BG Black Text - No Feature Background - No Overlay ( I tried toggling this second option around - made no difference) Everything else is blank, except for "Feature HTML" in which I have standard Youtube embed code. For the Feature setting for the page that they appear on, I've got the feature set selected, the navigation set to names, Static Height, and height set to 480px. I've tried toggling from static to aspect... no difference. The other settings here are blank.
I've tried using Vimeo embed, tried using YouTube embed code pre-iframe, tried changing the transition speed of the videos. Nothing so far. Because I needed something in that space, I switched to text overlay across the bottom, which brought the videos back, although it's not the look I want, and it also blocks the YouTube controls. So, what I'm looking for is to get the video features working again at full width. Hope I covered everything.

Try deactivating your active plugins (since you didn't list that above).

Hmm, ok so no bugs here. I think you may just have some stale CSS. Maybe try deactivating the section, and reactivating. If all else fails, delete the section and re-install fresh. Screenshot of full width video: http://screencast.com/t/Xd5l4QyABu We also have it functioning on the demo. Some things were changed in the section, so I'm thinking stale CSS or something. NIck

Nick, Thanks for the response. To test this, I created a new page, a new feature, a new feature set, and a new section, in a template I wasn't using. Also cleared my cache. The problem is still there: http://www.skypespanishclasses.com/test-front-page/ Is there anything else I can try?

The only thing I can think of is the size of the images... if it's too big, it could break. But I doubt that's the issue. When you go to Dashboard > Features > Features, can you upload an image to a slide, as a background image?

So, on the same test page (http://www.skypespanishclasses.com/test-front-page/) I added a second slide with a full background image, rather than a video. The image shows up just fine. Still a blank slide for the video though. Also tried adding a background image to the video slide, just to see what would happen. No change.

Hi Peter, Can you provide a screenshot of your Video feature settings please and also the code you're using to add the video that is coming up blank.

Have you tried using javascript embed code instead of iframe? Youtube calls these the "old embed code".

Yikes. I was going to ask if you had 2.2.5, but you do. Is your WordPress install up-to-date, too? :

What time zone are you in? We can schedule a screen share to see if there's something else affecting it. I'm US EDT (New York).

After our screen share, using Firefox, I browsed the site and did not see any shadows, overlays or obstructions to the slide's video controls. I checked all four slides and verified also in Chrome and IE9. In Chrome, Tania and Ernesto's slides do not show the navigation because that browser doesn't deal with video sizing the same way Firefox does. The video controls in those two cases are just being pushed below the size of the slider. In IE9, all four slides are the same as Firefox, with each slide hiding the title, going full-width and with controls visible and clickable. This is a browser issue and PageLines is actually doing its job correctly. Some browsers deal with CSS and HTML5 differently and unfortunately we cannot control that.

So, my original problem of being unable to have videos as full width/no text is still unresolved. Also, I've looked at the videos in Chrome, Firefox and Safari, and the issue with the controls is still there when I have the text on the bottom of the slides. I wonder if we're talking about two different things? Here's what I'm referring to: http://awesomescreenshot.com/00cbpdd79

Hi Peter, I have just uploaded a video adding a Vimeo vid to a feature slider which has full width and no text. http://screencast.com/t/uvLscWUpg3r I've also uploaded a short clip of a YouTube video added to the Feature slider where the controls are working fine. http://screencast.com/t/k3SvknuG

It's possible you're seeing something we're just not seeing because of settings on your machine(s). As I said, I looked in multiple browsers after our screen share and do not see any shadows, overlay text. All I see is the video controls which are part of the embed and not in our control. Could you explain the rationale or reason for the smilie you added in your last reply?

Sorry, it's just that this problem has me feeling a bit crazy. I thought that if nothing else our screenshare had established that my main problem, that full width background feature videos show blank slides, does, in fact, exist. You can still see it here: http://www.skypespanishclasses.com/test-front-page/ I've tried it on multiple machines, in multiple browsers, and it still shows blank slides. I've spent a lot of time here. I don't feel like it's any closer to being resolved.
