Auto sizing & centering images in Quickslider

Quickslider is great, but I'd like the images to auto scale or, at very least, center (horizontally and vertically) within the slider window. Is there a plug-in, or custom code to allow this?

Wouldn't the best solution be to use a graphics editor to center your image, in both directions? I don't know of any plugins to do what you're suggesting. If the slider is going to auto scale, which it should, the image itself should still have its focal point centered. If not, the image would become distorted when stretched or shrunk. Are you using an image that is cropped by a size limit?
