Child Theme functions.php and library.templates.php Modifying

I'm trying to modify the pagelines_title_tag() function for a custom display. Can I duplicate the includes folder with the library.templates.php file into my Child Theme and modify the display for pagelines_title_tag()? Or do I just add some code to the functions.php file under my child theme? Please help! I've been messing around with this all day and I can't find exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks!

I tried that and I modified some code in the library file... It didn't seems to change anything. Do I need to copy the file and place it into a folder named includes under the childtheme? Thanks

Try placing it in the folder and adding the folder.

Can someone help me modify this in my childtheme? The problem is... I have a post with the title.... "MULTIFEED_START_2_Iberiabank Visa® Classic CardMULTIFEED_END_2_ | CardRate.com" I need to add an if statement to remove the "MULTIFEED_START_2_" and "MULTIFEED_END_2_" from all these posts from being displayed. Thanks!

the title tag go away? I suspect that the if statement you want to add should really be part of the plugin, not one of our files. If not in the plugin, likely it should be inside one of the WP files I suspect Catrina was correct in this. The question you ultimately have is with the plugin. I don't believe using library.templates.php in or out of the includes folder will resolve this as PageLines doesn't actually create the title of a post or page. That's a WordPress function.
