pagelinesbetsy 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2012 Is it possible to put a feature section next to a callout, as opposed to having them be on top of or below one another? Thanks!
Jenny 33 Report post Posted June 12, 2012 Put your feature in the content area, and put the callout in the sidebar. That's the best way i can think to do it without you having to write any custom code. ♥ Jenny :: Web designer at Simple Mama (follow me at @simplemamacom) Check out Share Me, a social sharing add-on for DMS that is super simple to set up. pagelinesbetsy 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2012 Thanks. I don't think that will work in this case. Is it possible to reduce the width of the feature?
Rob 547 Report post Posted June 12, 2012 Hi Betsy, Jenny's idea was innovative, but she didn't realize that section isn't available for a sidebar. Actually, the solution you're looking for won't work with those tools. So, here's my best suggestion. Skip the Callout Section, since it's not available. If you have the ability to use a sidebar, as Jenny suggested, place a Text Widget into the sidebar where you want it, then, either use a table or try simply adding an image with text aligned to either side of it (typical HTML image alignment). Wrap the text segments in individual divs so you can style the title, subtext and any links. Yes, this is really old-fashioned, but speaking as an old fella, I can honestly say the old stuff really does work out well in the long run.
