Change Username in Forums? Profile?

Most forums I've been to have a place you can go to change your username, password, profile, and other settings. Where is that here? I don't like using my email address as a username. Thanks.

Click your name on the top of the forum, http://screencast.com/t/6WrjjbDQenp Where you see hperkins, you would see your name. Then go to Edit My Account. There is a "Nice Name" input field. That is where you change your display name. Hope that helps.

Henry, Thanks for the help. I see the "Nice Name" option, but when I enter my username, it says it is already registered/in-use. So, thinking I may have setup a previous account, I go to the password recovery and enter the username. It then tells me that username doesn't exist in the system. Someone marked this thread as "Answered" but actually I don't have an answer yet. How do I flag it as still needing support so the Admins and Moderators don't ignore my question?

I figured out how to reject the "Answered" setting (although it wasn't very intuitive).

Well... I thought I figured out how to reject the "Answered" setting. When I click on a person's response that's marked Answered/Thanks then the Answered disappears and indicates rejected. Yet, it doesn't "stick" so the message still indicates answered. Seems like something is screwed up with this forum implementation.

Attempting again to change my "Nice Name" from my email address to something simpler, I followed the instructions to create a new Nice Name. I entered a username that should work, but got the message, "The email you entered is in use by another member." Is the Nice Name supposed to be an email address? I'm getting more and more hesitant to do anything with PageLines considering how unintuitive and quirky this forum is. I got totally hyped by the video, and was looking forward to doing something with the 2.0 platform, but if the Pagelines website itself is full of anomalies, and its being run by the people who know more than I do, then how well will I fare? So, anyway, my question still remains unanswered despite someone clicking on Answered. How do I change my "Nice Name"?

Simon. Thanks for fixing that. Are you an admin here? You must have some level of administrative privileges to have figured that out. Perhaps you can convey the concerns I expressed in my other post to Andrew. I think he'd be responsive to them.
