Where do I insert AdSense Code in Pagelines?

Where do I insert my adsense code so that the box/leaderboard/ad displays correctly on a certain page ? For example, I want a certain ad on my inflight dietitian page that has only health ads related that don't show on my main homepage. I've followed the directions about how to make the ads and insert the code, but apparently, where I am trying to insert the code is wrong, because the ads are not being displayed. I was reading that I may need to download a child theme? If anyone can walk me through this and how to make my ads be displayed, I would really appreciate it.
