installing BuddyPress after site is built

I've never used buddy press and want to make sure before I do this that I'm not going to erase my entire site- I have built my site with Pagelines Framework on the Base Theme. I want to add the buddy press to be able to have a community forum. If I install and activate the buddy press like the instructions say, will I loose all me formatting and design that I have so far??
