cioadmin 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2012 I need the sidebar to be fixed which I've set it to, however when I resize to test responsiveness my main content section just overlaps. I've tried clearing after sidebar, and a few different display settings, but I'm pretty much stumped. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be helpful, I'm sure it's a css issue that I'm just overlooking.
Rob 547 Report post Posted May 15, 2012 Unfortunately, I don't have a mobile device for viewing sites, but responsiveness in mobile views depends on variable, not fixed width. With a fixed width sidebar, the only responsive part is the content area and naturally it's going to overlap or underlap as the case may be. The solution is to remove the fixed width for your sidebar and your site should be responsive for mobile viewing. I've checked and there's no CSS solution (which I hoped was correct as well). Apologies that this isn't a better solution. Former PageLines Moderator, Food Expert and Raconteur
cioadmin 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2012 That's what I thought, but I figured I'd go ahead and ask and see if I was overlooking something. Would there be any way then to get the universal sidebar to have hierarchical priority over the main content bar when sizing down for responsiveness?
