How to show my last blog post in homepage

Hi all, I use a customized Template in my blog home page here: http://www.francescofornaro.com It would be very useful if I could add a simple text string above the slideshow which shows something like "Hey! Have a look to my newest blog post: [Title]" Any idea about that? How could I customize the page Template in order to do that? Thank you in advance and best regards, Francesco.

Just add a Content Box

Thank you, indeed I'd like to show my last blog post automatically. I don't want a content that has to be updated manually when I post something news. Is this possibile? Thanks.

Try a plugin called Special Recent Posts http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/special-recent-posts/ which uses a shortcode to add posts to static pages. It's great.
