Can We Widgetize Buddypress Pages?

Recommended Posts

thorstone137

Hey guys, I was about to take a stab at adding a widget to a buddypress enable pagelines framework page. As far as I can tell the best way to do this would be to add one directly to a buddypress template. Any suggestions before I fall down the rabbit hole? :)

Hi thorstone137, The PageLines BuddyPress compatibility plug-in currently only supports Full Width. If you wish to take a plunge and attempt to add a widget to the BuddyPress template, you're more than welcome. If you get this working, don't forget to show us! :D

Thanks @Danny .. My concern is that just to maintain buddypress functionality, the design is dependent on the pagelines buddypress plugin, the buddypress template pack, and the buddypress plugin. .. I know.. have a little cheese with my wine.. :p Are you guys cool if I fork the pagelines buddypress plugin and add the code to a dedicated buddypress pagelines child theme? :)
