Customize Quick Slider

Recommended Posts

rfahaiti

Hello, I'd like to have the quick slider be about 75% of the current width and have a box to the right of it. I'm brand new to the Pagelines Framework and would really appreciate any advise. I assume this would deal with custom css? I saw in some of the demos that's it pretty easy to do but I couldn't fin any options. thanks.

You are correct, this will require custom CSS added to Custom Code > Custom CSS in the PageLines settings. For a tutorial on how to use Firebug (http://getfirebug.com) to create the CSS you need for this customization, please see here: http://www.pagelines.com/wiki/Custom_CSS

Thanks for your response Catrina! I have used Firebug in the past before but mainly for testing fonts, colors, widths, et cetera. I do not know how to introduce a box into that area. Thanks!

I think the box that you've seen in a slider is the text content area that is added to the default feature slider that comes with the theme, not the Quickslider. If you want to be able to add a text box to Quickslide, you may a more in-depth customization which will require a Pro: http://www.pagelines.com/pros
