Using PlatformPro & Base As A Wordpress CMS - Blog Question

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone here can answer and maybe solve a little problem I'm having that has me puzzled. I should also say that I can't give access to the site I'm working on as its on a clients private server. Ok so my problem for the past 3 days is this... I am using my PlatformPro/Base as my theme obviously and I'm setting the site up as a CMS site with a blog. I've done the obvious settings after I create the Home Page and the Blog Page by changing the static page to Home and posts page to Blog but for some reason when I create a new post its isn't showing up on my Blog page. I've been through all the obvious settings and can't find the problem so is there something within Platform I need to change or that maybe I missed to have my CMS site show the recent posts on the blog page? I know the blog page should pull the recent posts onto the blog page but it isn't. Please can someone advise?

Hi, if you have any content, even a punctuation mark on the blog page that isn't added via templates, but is manually included in the text editing field of the page setup, no posts will show. See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page and http://wordpress.org/support/topic/properly-setting-up-a-blog-page The blog page must be empty in order for WP to write to it. The blog page should be set as the Posts page and the static homepage (which may have all the content you wish) should be the front page set up at Dashboard > Settings > Reading. As I cannot see the live site, I cannot tell anything about the structure you're using.

Thanks for your reply rangelone but I'm still lost :( can you be a little clearer please? I have read the wordpress codex and have done everything it says there but still the blog page isn't pulling the recent posts onto the blog page. Should also add that there's nothing posted on the actual blog page except the title 'Blog' as instructed to do.

Is the site live? If so, use a URL masking service so we can see it. The process is... create a totally blank page in which only the title of the page is added to the title field (everything else should be via the template). Inside the edit box on the page setup, there should be absolutely nothing. Save. Go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading - Select Static pages, then in the 2nd drop down list, select the page just created (appears automatically). Save. Normally, that's all it takes. Do you have any plugins? If so, deactivate them if nothing shows. It's possible a plugin is causing a conflict.

You do have PlatformBase activated, right? Did you add any hooks? Custom CSS?
